The Renault Alpine A110 GT4 is a sports car produced by the French manufacturer Alpine. Presented at the 1962 Paris Motor Show, it is an evolution of the A108 2+2, of which it is a more livable and aesthetically more convincing version.
1962-1965: A new body
The Renault Alpine A110 GT4 is equipped with a new body 18 cm longer than that of the A108 2+2. The new body provides more comfortable space for rear passengers. The front end was also redesigned with a new bumper and grille.
1965-1969: More powerful engines
The Renault Alpine A110 GT4 is equipped with a 956 cm3 five-stage engine from the Renault 8. This engine developed 50 hp. In 1965, the GT4 received the 1108 cm3 engine from the Renault Caravelle, delivering 60 hp. The GT4 then receives all the berlinette's engines except the 1500 cm3 and 1600 cm3.
1969: End of production
Production of the Renault Alpine A110 GT4 ceases in 1969. It is replaced by the Renault Alpine A110 1300.
Production:
Around 200 units of the Renault Alpine A110 GT4 were produced.
