Model created around 1869–1870, then produced in various sizes by the Barbedienne foundry beginning in the 1870s. H. 92 cm Very good overall condition. Slight wear and marks on the patina. Related work: David’s original model was executed by Antonin Mercié in Rome in the late 1860s.
